{"id":1395,"date":"2020-02-20T12:40:05","date_gmt":"2020-02-20T12:40:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/festiball.com\/?page_id=1395"},"modified":"2022-08-20T11:36:15","modified_gmt":"2022-08-20T10:36:15","slug":"non-approved-bats","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/festiball.com\/?page_id=1395","title":{"rendered":"Non Approved Bats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/festiball.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/WBSC_Certified_Bat_List_2021.pdf\">WBSC_Certified_Bat_List_2021<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Domestic play<\/h2>\n<p>With regard to domestic softball play, the BSF intends to maintain the status quo for the foreseeable future.\u00a0 So to be legal in the UK, a bat needs to have a Softball USA (ASA) stamp or a WBSC (ISF) stamp and not be on the Softball USA\/ASA non-approved bat list.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of the approved stamps are below.<\/p>\n<p>However, any teams and players likely to be playing in European tournaments, and particularly the Slowpitch World Cup in 2023, should be aware that further restrictions might be in place at such events, with only bats certified by the WBSC likely to be allowed.<\/p>\n<p>Please be aware of this when buying new bats!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>New WBSC and USA Softball Bat Certification Stamps<\/h2>\n<p>Both the WBSC and USA Softball have developed updated bat certification stamps to replace their former ISF and ASA stamps.<\/p>\n<p>Both the new and the former WBSC and USA Softball certification stamps will continue to be accepted, as detailed below.<\/p>\n<h2>World Baseball Softball Confederation<\/h2>\n<p>With the transition from the ISF to the WBSC, new bat certification stamps have been developed for international play. \u00a0The new logo will begin to appear on newly-manufactured bats this year; however, bats with the older 2005 stamp will continue to be accepted for competition. \u00a0Bats must also be on the WBSC certified bat list.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2173\" src=\"https:\/\/festiball.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Bat_Certification_1-300x142.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/festiball.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Bat_Certification_1-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/festiball.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Bat_Certification_1-128x61.png 128w, https:\/\/festiball.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Bat_Certification_1-32x15.png 32w, https:\/\/festiball.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Bat_Certification_1.png 575w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Certified for use in ALL levels of Fast Pitch and Slow Pitch competition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>USA Softball<\/h2>\n<p>USA Softball has developed new stamps to transition from their ASA 2004 and ASA 2013 stamps.
